Refund Policy

Agreement and Waiver:

Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC reserves the right to deny or refuse a dog because of a safety issue with other dogs or employees. Dogs will be denied for people or dog aggression or physical illness. All Dogs entering or exiting Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC must be on a 6-foot leash or in a travel kennel. No retractable leashes or e-collars are allowed on or in Think Pawsitive grounds or facility. Participant agrees to maintain full control over his/her dog, and accepts full responsibility.

There will be a $40.00 charge for all returned checks due to insufficient funds. There will be a $5.00 processing charge for all refunds. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa, Master Card, check or cash.  Prices and dates are subject to change without notice.

Participant recognizes the inherent risk associated with dog training or participation in dog activity services (swim, water treadmill, private lesson, turf/mat rental, nail trim), and realizes that a dog is a creature capable of and given to independent action. Participant assumes the entire risk and responsibility for property damage and personal injury, harm, or death that may occur to themselves or any guest they bring with them as a result of the actions or inactions of participant, another person, or certain canine behaviors included, but not limited to, biting, knocking over, jumping upon, transmittable diseases, or unpredictable reactions to drugs or medications whether caused by participant’s dog or the dogs of other participants.

Participant agrees to fully release and forever discharges Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC, its agents and employees, from any and all claims for loss, damage or injury to your dog(s) while in the care or on the premises of Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC facility. This encompasses while participating in any and all services or activities provided including (but not limited to) dog training, seminars, pool use, water treadmill, rental of facility areas/equipment or any other services or activities on the premises. Participant affirms that his/her dog is current on all required vaccinations. This includes: Rabies, Distemper-Parvo, Bordatella (optional) and flea control. Your dog(s) must be free from infections, parasites, and contagious or transmissible diseases.

Participant gives Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC permission to use his/her photo/recording/video/likeness in any marketing and/or promotional materials including: flyers, newsletters, social media postings, publications, marketing pieces, the Think Pawsitive Dog Training website and Facebook page, YouTube videos, and any other advertising, marketing, or public relations materials. Participant grants consent to the use of images or recordings for promotional materials and releases Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC from any liability in connection with the taking, producing, or publication of the photos, images, videos, or recordings.

Participant understands that all of the above stated materials are the sole property of Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC and hereby the participant further agrees to defend, indemnify, and hold Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC and its officers, members, and its employees, successors and assigns harmless from and against any and all claims, demands, actions, right of action (at law or in equity) because of any injury (including death) or damage to person or property arising out of Participant’s participation in the activities.

Registrations for classes, workshops or events: are accepted online, via phone and in person. Due to this, our online stock quantity is not guaranteed for classes, workshops and events. Registrations are accepted in the order received. If a class, workshop or event fills prior to your registration, we will transfer your registration to the next available date and notify you of the change.  This cancellation and refund policy applies to clients/students that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.

Service Refund and Cancellation Policy: Full payment must be made at the time of scheduling to reserve your session. Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC is not responsible for any missed sessions or services (nail trims, rentals, TAILS Academy, private lessons, swims, and water treadmill sessions). If you wish to cancel a private lesson, TAILS Academy, rental, nail trim or swim/treadmill session, a 24-hour notice is required, or you will be charged the usual fees associated with the session. Services are non-transferable within 24-hours of the scheduled session. Unused sessions on pre-purchased packages are not refundable, but may be transferred within the expiration date to another dog/client if requested.

Class Refund and Cancellation Policy: Full payment must be made at the time of registration in order to hold a spot in the class. All class fees are due by the start of the first class and are non-refundable or transferable once the in-person class begins.  If you need to cancel or transfer your registration prior to the start of the class, we require two weeks written notice (email notice is acceptable) from the first class or you will be charged for the entire segment of the class. If the first week of a 2-week class or class series is missed, you are not eligible to participate in the subsequent week of the class. Pending room, an auditing spot may be available to the customer for the final week(s) of the workshop.  This cancellation and refund policy applies to clients/students that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.

PLEASE NOTE: The use of crates and crate games are a significant part of our curriculum for classes and workshops. Both treat and toy rewards are used extensively to reinforce dogs for desired behaviors.

Beginner Puppy School and Adult Manners class lectures are considered the start of the first class.  Week 1 for both is an in-person lecture or virtual lecture via YouTube and sent via an email.  Week 1 is considered attended once the email with the YouTube lecture and materials for class have been sent or the in-person lecture has been attended.  If you need to cancel or transfer your registration prior to the start of the in-person classes (Week 2), we require two weeks’ notice from the first in-person class or you will be charged for the entire segment of the class. The $75 lecture fee is non-refundable for Adult Manners/Beginner Puppy School once it has been sent.  Adult Manners/Beginner Puppy School classes are non-refundable within two weeks of the first in-person class.  Class transfers may be accepted within two weeks of the first in-person class ONLY if we are able to fill the spot in the original class. Adult Manners/ Beginner Puppy School classes are NON-REFUNDABLE once you have been accepted into the Facebook group.

Think Pawsitive reserves the right to reschedule the date of a class with low enrollment with 48-hour notice to the client. An option of joining the new class date or transferring to another class date will be made available to the client. If the client does not wish to pursue either of these options, they are eligible for a refund. ($75 lecture fee not included in refund for Adult Manners, Beginner Puppy School, or Pawsitive Bundle purchases due to client receiving lecture video, materials, instructions, etc.) There will be a $5 processing charge for all refunds.

Think Pawsitive Dog Training LLC is not responsible for missed class sessions and cannot accommodate makeup sessions. If you need to miss a class date, you may choose to schedule an optional private lesson with one of our instructors to catch up on missed work (NOTE: Additional private lesson fees apply). For classes that provide weekly homework handouts, you may stop in to pick them up at any time the facility is open during the week.

For Pawsitive Bundles:

Full payment must be made at the time of registration in order to hold a spot in all class and workshop selections. No partial refunds will be given for Bundles. If one activity is returned, all are returned and sold back at full price. A balance may be owed due to cancellation. All class fees are due by the start of the first class and are non-refundable or transferable once any one class or workshop begins.

If you would like a full refund, we require two weeks’ written notice (e-mail notice is acceptable) before the date of your first class or workshop selection or a written notice (e-mail notice is acceptable) within 48 hours of your purchase. Pawsitive Bundles are non-refundable once we are within two weeks of your first class selection or after 48 hours from the time of purchase has passed. Pawsitive Bundles are NON-REFUNDABLE once you have been accepted into the Facebook group.

If you would like to transfer into a different class for Beginner Puppy School, Adult Manners, Canine Enrichment, Puppy Enrichment, Canine Aquatics, Puppy Aquatics, or workshop, we require two weeks written notice (e-mail notice is acceptable) before the date of that specific first class or workshop selection or a written notice (e-mail notice is acceptable) within 48 hours of your purchase. There will be no transfers or refunds for missed classes or workshops.

Beginner Puppy School and Adult Manners class lectures are considered Week 1. Week 1 class is either the in-person lecture or virtual lecture via YouTube (sent via an email). Week 1 is considered attended once you have attended the in-person lecture or have been sent the email, with the YouTube video lecture and materials for class. The $75 lecture fee is non-refundable for Adult Manners/Beginner Puppy School and Pawsitive Bundles once it has been sent or the in-person lecture has been attended.

Bundle TAILS Academy half days expire 60 days from the date of purchase. They must be scheduled and used before those 60 days are up. We will reach out to you via phone and email, and then we ask you to ensure your TAILS Academy half day is scheduled at a time that works for you before it expires. We highly encourage you to set up your lesson immediately to ensure you can get on the schedule on the day of your choosing, as our schedule is typically fully booked for about a month out. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in effect for these appointments. If you need to change or reschedule, we are happy to do so, but require a phone call 24 hours before the start of your scheduled appointment. Missed sessions are unable to be rescheduled, and TAILS Academy 1/2 days are not valid and will not be scheduled after they have expired. There will be no partial refunds for TAILS Academy ½ days.

Bundle ½ hour private lessons expire 60days from the start date of your Adult Manners or Beginner Puppy School class. Pawsitive Bundle Private lessons are not able to be used before the start of your class (Week 2 of Adult Manners or Beginner Puppy School). They must be scheduled between your class start date and the 60-day expiration and used before those 60 days are up. We will reach out to you via phone and email, and then we ask you to ensure your ½ hour private lesson is scheduled at a time that works for you. We highly encourage you to set up your lesson immediately to ensure you can get on the schedule on the day of your choosing, as our schedule can be fully booked for weeks out. We have a 24-hour cancellation policy in effect for these appointments. If you need to change or reschedule, we are happy to do so, but require a phone call 24 hours before the start of your scheduled appointment. Missed lessons are unable to be rescheduled, and private lessons are not valid and will not be scheduled before your class start date or after it has expired. There will be no partial refunds for Private Lessons.

Workshop & Seminar Refund and Cancellation Policy: In order to hold a working spot for a workshop/seminar, you must submit full payment. Should you have to cancel or transfer your registration prior to the start of the workshop, we require two weeks’ notice, or you will be charged for the entire workshop or workshop series.  Cancellations received one week prior to the workshop will receive a refund or transfer credit of 50% of your payment. There will be no refunds or transfers for cancellations within one week of the workshop/seminar start date.  There will be a $5 processing charge applied for all refunds.   2-week workshops or workshop series: If the first week of a 2-week workshop or workshop series is missed, you are not eligible to participate in the subsequent week of the workshop. Pending room, an auditing spot may be available to the customer for the final week(s) of the workshop.  This cancellation and refund policy applies to clients/students that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.

Event Refund and Cancellation Policy: All event payments are non-refundable within two weeks of the event. Full payment must be submitted to hold your spot in the event. Should you have to cancel or transfer your registration prior to the start of the event, we require two weeks’ notice, or you will be charged for the entire event or event series.  Cancellations received one week prior to the workshop will receive a transfer credit of 50% of your payment. There will be no refunds or transfers for cancellations within one week of the workshop/seminar start date.  There will be a $5 processing charge applied for all refunds and transfers.  This cancellation and refund policy applies to clients/students that must withdraw for any reason including but not limited to injury, illness, emergency, and personal or work-related reasons.

Retail Return Policy:
Customers may return item for an equal exchange or refund within 30 days of purchase. We do not accept returns made after the 30 days.  All return requests must include the item with original packaging, in unused, unworn, and undamaged condition, with all original tags attached.  The item must be deemed sellable by Think Pawsitive associates. Original proof of purchase or printed copy of the receipt/invoice must be provided by the customer. All returns are subject to validation and approval at Think Pawsitive’s discretion. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Buyer pays return shipping.
