Agility Handling with Lee Gibson

$50.00$200.00

TUNNEL CHALLENGES: Oh, the tunnel. Judges today are using tunnels in very creative ways. Tunnels are used to cause wrong course discrimination challenges; sometimes as a dreaded ‘puppy cannon’; as a handler obstruction; or, often our dogs even have to turn against the turn! Statistically dog’s have a high occurrence of dropping bars while entering or exiting a tunnel; and —more commonly—judges are just downright testing the handler’s physical fitness with those things! More and more often our lack of skill training around this obstacle causes miscommunication galore. Lee will coach working teams on how to best handle some of the trendiest ‘tough tunnel tests’ today, and all based on each team’s individual strengths & limitations. As always, Lee will help you to develop your skills for the future! This seminar is not only jam-packed with challenges for the ‘speed-demon dog’, but super motivational for the pup that needs incentive to run harder! Lee can modify difficulty-level for individual teams, if needed. Even international-level dogs will enjoy the heck outta this training day!

PREREQUISITES: This workshop is open to teams who are training at the Open level or higher. Any handling system is welcome.

DATE: Friday, November 18th, 2022
TIME: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm with a one-hour break for lunch
COST: $200 (Working-10 max.) and $50 (Audit)

INTERNATIONAL COURSE HANDLING: Preparing and training on international style courses is important to sharpen and maintain technical handling skills. Lee Gibson will motivate you to perform at a higher and more intense level in both training and competition. He will be setting up courses to test your abilities and help you define winning strategies. You will learn to make confident strategic and handling decisions based on sequence analysis.

PREREQUISITE: Must be competing at the Open/Advanced or Masters/Excellent level.
Lee is open to working with ANY handling system.
