    Novice Rally Games: Novice Rally Games is geared to take your rally skills to the next level. We will be working more on Rally Novice coursework, perfecting signs #1-#42, and improving your dog's responses to the various obedience tasks required for rally. Build on your manners and Rally knowledge in this interactive course full of paws-on learning. NOTE: Students should have Beginner Rally Games experience, Rally Try-it experience, or instructor approval.

    Advanced Rally Games: Are you looking to take your Rally skills much further? You will evolve your recall, sit, stand, down, and stay foundation pieces by being introduced to Rally Intermediate signs. Each session will expose you to different skill-building exercises and the chance to put them together in various Rally courses. This class is suitable for those who are familiar with all Rally Novice signs.

    PLEASE NOTE: The use of crates and crate games are a significant part of our curriculum. Both treat and toy rewards are used extensively to reinforce dogs for desired behaviors. During this workshop, dogs must use one of the following tools: A Gentle Leader Head Collar, an Easy-Walk Harness, a Sense-Ation Harness or a Freedom No-Pull Harness. No Prong Collars, Choke Collars or Flexi Leashes are allowed in our facility.

  • Advanced Manners is the next step for those who have completed Think Pawsitive’s Beginner Puppy School or Adult Manners. We will be working on advancing the foundations to having a more well-rounded canine companion. This class is perfect for both casual pet owners or dog sport competitors. Emphasis will be placed on core behaviors and adding distance, movement, distractions, and generalization aspects.

    This class will focus on the following under increased criteria based on the dog’s understanding.

    • Advancing your dog's understanding of "Place" behavior.

    • Calm and polite greetings when accepting guests into the home

    • Off-leash reliability.

    • Command execution (sit, down, recall)  in motion, at a distance, and with advanced generalization.

    • Loose leash walking around distractions like people, dogs, and environmental challenges to prepare for activities like Canine Good Citizen.

    • Offered Focus:  Teach your dog to check in with you often under distraction and without being asked.

  • Beginner: If walking your dog seems like a chore, this is the class for you. Learn to have your dog walk at your side without pulling, lunging, barking or lagging behind. In this class, your dog will take in NEW environmental sights, smells, noises, dogs and people!  We will be traveling to local parks. To achieve these results our instructor will teach you how to get your dog to walk respectfully on a leash, using ONLY one of the following Think Pawsitive Dog Training approved leash walking tools: Gentle Leader, Sense-ation, Easy Walk, or Freedom No Pull Harness. Our instructors will teach you and your dog the appropriate leash walking criteria including when to allow your dog potty breaks, sniff breaks, mechanics for visiting people. This formula will produce enjoyable walks with your dog!  Additional park fees may apply to get more distracting adventure walks.
    Advanced: For those who have completed Beginner Adventure Walks. These walks will expand on the skills you learned previously in Beginner Adventure Walks along with traveling to local bike trails, NEW parks, pet stores or specialized stores. Our instructors will teach you and your dog the appropriate leash walking criteria including when to allow your dog potty breaks, sniff breaks, dog distractions, mechanics for store etiquette and visiting people. This formula will produce enjoyable walks or visits to local stores with your dog!  Additional park fees may apply to get more distracting adventure walks.
    PREREQUISITES: Adult Manners, Beginner Puppy School or Out and About: Loose Leash-walking Skills (Formerly Leash Walking 101)

  • This class will focus on the helpful skill of “Boundary Training” to achieve your dog’s understanding and reliability of the behavior in your home, back yard, restaurant, or at the park.  Boundary training is a great skill and an important part of everyday household rules and manners. By obtaining this skill, rest assure your dog will be safe and healthy by keeping your dog out of areas where they should not go, like flower beds and swimming pools etc. During this class we will also teach your dog a "Place" command, ranking this behavior right up there in importance, perhaps coming in second to boundary training. Your mission is to teach the dog the definition “keep all four paws situated on this object, or don't leave an area unless I give you permission.” Skills covered in this class include: place behavior or “go to bed” with environmental distractions, setting boundary training criteria, and building understanding of the three D's (distance, duration, and distractions). 
    PREREQUISITES: Must be currently enrolled or have completed an Adult Manners or Beginner Puppy School at Think Pawsitive.   • Join us for a one-night refresher course to test all things recall! Fun proven techniques and exercises to train your dog to WANT to come when called with EXTREME enthusiasm. You will work on finding your dog’s drive, building steps towards an immediate response, and learning how to call your dog off of real life distractions, and more.
    Prerequisites: Dogs must have completed Think Pawsitive Rocket Recalls Workshop, Beginner Puppy School or Adult Manners.

  • During this class we will extend the skills you learned in Please to Meet You! You will work through proofing your dog's understanding of the exercises that were taught and practiced in the first two classes. We will evolve into structured set-ups to help work through normal, everyday distractions such as: food, toys, various people and working in close proximity to other dogs that you and your dog may encounter in your everyday life experiences. Throughout the exercises we will look at what is motivating your dog, how we can change their perspective, and what you can do to ensure they will respond with excellent choices when meeting people and or being around other dogs no matter what environment is presented to them!
    PREREQUISITES: Must have completed both weeks of Pleased to Meet You! at Think Pawsitive.

  • Pleased to Meet You! is a meet and greet class specifically for dogs that have difficulty socializing and/or display undesirable behavior toward other people and around dogs. Whether they present too much enthusiasm or actually do something “unseemly”, this is a great class for any dog owner.

    This class is perfect for dogs that display inappropriate behaviors, including:
    • Over-Excitement
    • Jumping
    • Excessive Barking
    • Lack of Focus
    • Shyness
    If your dog is overly excited or displays fear-related behaviors, this class will help. It is meant to address inappropriate “meeting and greeting” behaviors that may lead to unpleasant or unruly interactions amongst other dogs or people. The class will instill a sense of confidence by giving you the proper techniques and mechanics of “dog handling” to help you manage your dog in a variety of situations. You will gain tools and exercises to work on so that your dog responds with proper behaviors when challenges arise. Through in-class demonstrations you will learn to identify when dogs are being friendly and when they are not.NO on-leash greetings with other dogs will take place in this class. We will work parallel with other dogs, teaching your dog to focus on and pay attention to you.
    PREREQUISITES: Must have completed Beginner Puppy School or Adult Manners at Think Pawsitive.

  • This class will focus on "proofing" your dog's understanding of “Boundary Training”! Building Boundaries 101 helped you put in place defined criteria for your dog's boundaries in your home, back yard, restaurant, or at the park. You've worked on your dog's reliable understanding of what these boundaries are and what his/her behavior should be. Now your mission is to proof and teach the dog that even when a distraction arises they should still “keep all four paws situated on this object, or not leave a defined boundary area unless you've given permission.” Skills covered in this class include: environmental distractions such as dogs, people, bikes, etc. and proofing the boundary training criteria with more of the three D’s (distance, duration, and LOTS of distractions such as food, toys etc). 
    Prerequisites: Must have completed Building Boundaries 101 at Think Pawsitive

  • If you or your dog have forgotten some leash walking mechanics since graduation day, come join us for a one-night course on perfecting your leash walking criteria. Come revisit mechanics, how to walk past people and dogs, what to do if your dog barks at distractions, and more.
    Prerequisites: Dogs must have completed Think Pawsitive Out & About: Loose Leash Walking Skills, Beginner Puppy School or Adult Manners.
