Culture Point Recognition
Ownership:
I am truly responsible for my actions and outcomes and own everything that takes place in my work and my life. I am accountable for my results and I know that for things to change, first I must change!
Consistency:
I am consistent in my actions so my clients and teammates feel comfortable in dealing with me at all times. I am disciplined in my work so my results, growth, and success are consistent.
Positive Attitude:
Rendering services to clients puts me in a position to provide greatness: A great attitude, great returns, great satisfaction, a great reputation, and great joy. A great attitude does much more than turn on the lights in my world. It seems to magically connect me to a multitude of serendipitous opportunities that may go unnoticed without a positive attitude.
Systems:
I always look to the system for a solution. When an opportunity or challenge arises, I use a system approach before I look for direction or input from others. I follow the system exactly as established until a new system is introduced. I suggest system improvements at my first opportunity.
Adaptability:
I have the ability to alter myself and I am willing to keep an open mind, stay calm and improvise when new challenges or changing priorities present themselves. I will embrace circumstances that are outside my comfort zone as an opportunity to grow. Adaptability allows me the opportunity to learn from experience and evolve as a well-balanced team player. I will focus my thoughts, energy and attention on the successful outcome of whatever I am doing.
Communication:
I speak positively of my fellow team members, my clients and Think Pawsitive Dog Training in both public and private. I speak with good intention, using empowering and positive conversation. I avoid sarcasm and gossip. I acknowledge what is being said as true for the speaker at that moment and I take responsibility for responses to my communication. I greet people using their name. When faced with a misunderstanding, I first apologize and then look for a solution. I only discuss concerns in private with management.
Gratitude:
I am a truly grateful person. I say thank you and show appreciation often and in many ways, so that all around me know how much I appreciate everything and everyone I have in my life. I celebrate my wins and the wins of my clients and team.
Patience:
I exhibit calm endurance under difficult or challenging circumstances. I persevere in the face of delay or provocation without acting on negative annoyance/anger. I show forbearance when under strain, especially when faced with longer-term difficulties. I understand that patience is the level of endurance I will need to reach my goals. Even the smallest goals will require my patience to achieve overall success.
Integrity:
I always speak the truth. What I promise is what I deliver. I only make agreements with myself and others that I intend to keep. I communicate potential broken agreements at the first opportunity and I clear up all broken agreements immediately.
Learning:
It is important that I continue to advance my skills and recognize that the opportunity to learn is everywhere around me. Within Think Pawsitive I can learn from every dog, every student, every co-worker, and our guest instructors. I believe that each challenge I face in my job is an opportunity to improve and will ask myself, “What could I have done better?” When faced with a challenge that I am not prepared for, I seek out guidance from management so I can learn how to handle the situation and provide the best experience for my customer. I recognize that much can be learned by observing others and will take the opportunity to grow by attending workshops and guest instructor sessions as I am able.
Purposefulness:
There is a sense of purpose in all I do and say. I will strive to always maintain a purpose rooted in positivity and good will with each challenge presented to me.
Partnership and Community:
At Think Pawsitive I am part of a community. I work hard to improve the relationships between dogs and their owners in our community every day. The clients, dogs, staff and anyone who walks through the door can feel the great atmosphere I contribute to. I consistently strive to make connections with all clients and dogs, to gain their trust, and to provide them with the best possible experience, no matter what activity they are involved in. I understand that each client and dog has unique needs and am committed to learning what works best for each new situation. I make great effort and take pride in welcoming all into the Think Pawsitive community.
