We have been training at Think Pawsitive for over a year. We first came to Think Pawsitive renting the upstairs to practice our team K-9 Dance Routine. That is when we met Shay. What an awesome first impression of Think Pawsitive. She took the time to answer my many questions about K-9 Swim. We booked our assistant swim with her. She had patience and was wonderful teaching Melodee to swim. We were hooked. We then tried Dock Diving with Fred and had a super time. Melodee and I did the trick workshop with Amy. We learned new tricks and different techniques to teach them. Melodee even earned her Do More with Your Dog Trick Title. That was icing on the Cake. We took the Bonding with Your Dog Part I with Sarah. Melodee surprised me in this workshop. Sarah had fantastic ideas and I learned a lot in this workshop. We can’t wait for Part II. Canine Fitness with Amy was next on our list. We learned so much and it was such a fun class. Amy was super. I wish there was a Part II. Adult Manners with Matt is fantastic. He has such patience and works with each dog in class. He sees who needs a little extra help and he is right there to give it. Beyond the Basic with Matt is our next class. My goals for Melodee are for her to focus more on me with whatever we are doing. Whether just plain walking and in our Freestyle Dance. She tends to be a bit distractive. The next step after the attention is to start to go off leash with distractions around. After Beyond the Basic class we will go on to Real Life Skills and then probably to the Obedience classes. The best part of training at Think Pawsitive is the instructors and staff. Shay, Fred, Amy, Sarah and Matt are magnificent. Each instructor comes to the class or workshop very well prepared. They have the patience and are very willing to help. If they saw you were struggling they would step in and try to help you. My advice to new students is to listen and trust your instructors. They are there to assist you. Also remember to do your homework and practice at home.
